Plane over Stockport viaduct

Posted by sithenah (Greater Manchester/Cheshire, United Kingdom) on 4 December 2011 in Transportation and Portfolio.

A Manchester airport bound plane flies over the Stockport viaduct. The viaduct carries the main railway South out of Manchester. Underneath flows the infant river Mersey.

A fine image, Gerald - the combination of the rail trestle and the plane. This works nicely in B&W.

I love this. The contrast of the old viaduct, the modern building, and the aircraft overhead - excellent!
