Crossing The Bridge

The Widnes-Runcorn Bridge across the River Mersey is sign-posted simply as "The Bridge". The shield bearing an image of Britannia is on the railway bridge that runs alongside the road bridge.

An image from the opposite side of the bridge can be seen on Ackworth born, gone West.
