Bank Passage

Posted by sithenah (Greater Manchester/Cheshire, United Kingdom) on 26 July 2011 in Architecture and Portfolio.

Off Lord Street, Southport, Merseyside/Lancashire, UK.

There used to be banks on either side but one is now a restaurarnt and the other is an empty building.

@Andy: I think the ones here were taken over by bigger banks.

Impressive buildings - a tad scary alley, tho.

I'm chuckling at the double yellows! What on earth would be small enough to park there?

@Jane: yes and the bollard with the no entry sign - I can imagine it may have been used by motorbikes rather than cars.

Is "passage" another name for an alley? I too thought perhaps this was wide enough for one vehicle, although it did look rather tight.

@Kathy: yes indeed a passage is another name for an alley

That is a cool passge.... and it reminded me of the narrow passage in Star Wars that the planes had to fly through... Good choice for "B"

Tight little space...I'd probably want to cover it in one mad run! Nice shot!
