The only time I was in Chester it was raining cats and dogs, so I had to limit myself to the "Rows". I would have loved to explore these ruins, your photo is perfect with the vegetation growing on them.

Beautiful with those three arcs above each other! I like the rounded shapes of the "pre-historically-old" stones and wonder how they became so rounded. Maybe the frequent maltreatment by storm and rain during centuries? Maybe also it's brickstone "baked" at low temperatures so they are less hard.
