I know the name of this bird.

It is a turnstone. There was a whole group of them congregated around a puddle at Paignton harbour last March.

They are regular visitors and someone had put up a poster about them nearby.

That is a great photo....I tried to catch a bird when I was up in Michigan but I really need a telephoto next purchase!
