Yellow high visibility jackets are essential fashion for horse riders. Taken on a bridle-path somewhere near Stockport, Cheshire, UK.

Interesting jackets and a good idea, haven't seen any of those here, but then I haven't been horseback riding in quite a while, so what do I know!!!! Love those horses rumps! And what a great place to ride. Great capture, Gerald!

Have a great day!

At least it is a fashion with a positive side-effect.

Don't look like bees at all. Wait, that's yellowjackets! Never mind.
I thinkl of the Tour de France when I think of yellow jacket.

For safety purposes that is the right thing to wear, neon colors like yellow is great. Thanks for sharing!

Great shot - those yellow jackets are very visible.

The yellow jackets are an excellent idea, but I don't think I'd want to wear one with that message on the back:)

Interesting and wise, as well. Passers don't often think about the nature of horses. Nice shot!

Good idea, those jackets. I hope the drivers heed the request.
I'd love to be riding again, with a nice English saddle.

Great picture! Love the viewpoint, from the rear, so we can read the jacket, too.

Yes, they are essential wear on our busy roads. A company I buy dog stuff from also does some neat hi-viz yellow fleece saddle blankets and rugs as well as fleece jackets for the rider in the same yellow.

The company is Equafleece and we have a 'Spot the dog' hi-viz bandana from them - sadly essential these days when walking a fawn greyhound off lead over the fields where some maniac might shoot them in mistake for a deer or a fox.

It would be a good photo even without the "caption" but the message on the vest really adds to the "story"!
