Weekend Reflection: Serendipitous Self Portrait

Posted by
sithenah (Greater Manchester/Cheshire, United Kingdom) on 8 January 2010 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

I was asked last year to take a photograph of a new cosmetics stall. I took several photographs and it wasn't until I downloaded them that I realised that one of them included a self-portrait of myself with Marilyn Monroe behind me reflected in a mirror.

Not many people can say that they had their portrait taken together with Marilyn Monroe...

Not to forget the sneakers that snuck into the reflection.

An unusual and a fun picture!
The picture could be cropped for a selfportrait!

The problem with self-portraits of photographers is that they so frequently have cameras in front of their faces! Nice shot, you're fortunate indeed to share the frame with Marilyn Monroe!

Ahhh, yes. Nothing like the perfect capture only to discover you inadvertently included yourself. Great shot!

Now this is a fun shot! I laughed at Rune's comment too, very clever. It's amazing what we find when we develop/download our shots, itsn't it?
