I wouldn't mind a pint there myself.

What a lovely hotel. It does look rather small for a hotel. But great choice for K day.

I like your choice of black and white too. The hotel may be just a tad too close to the train lines for me but I would love to see it in person.

What is it abow B&W photos that are so timeless.

The advantage is that the train is so close that you could stagger to the transport and find your way home.

I wonder where the quietest room of this hotel would be!

Interesting architecture and the b&w take is superb. This looks like a bed and breakfast to me and I'll bet it's very comfy inside.

A wonderful building with great decorative elements and a perfect capture in B&W. "King's Head" struck me as odd since it was mostly the queen's heads that were disembodied. Is this just rebel colonist's take on English history?!
Thanks for your always intriguing posts!

I love this in B&W, but bet I would love it in color, too. There is just something about it that makes it a great capture.

I work a stone´s throw from that hotel (Arch 69, i think the arch in the background is arch 63). It´s industrial revolution at its core. Very impressive landscape, always stunning and impossible to get used to it, to its industrial grandeur.

@silvia: lovely to hear from you sylvia - it is 4 years since I took that photo - I must try and get back to see it again sometime.
